He seeks to explore the roots of story, superstition and location.

As an architect, Michael understands the physical reality of space and place. Beyond this physicality, he perceives the emotions of place, informed by listening and understanding.

When we know of a place’s history, of the tales told about it, we change our perception, find a new current state, and imagine a further future.

Michael’s work might start with the story or the legend, and build into place, or start with the place and develop the work as his own knowledge increases.
